Uou can choose to expand the gamut of the video or use the native gamut, both of which make things more colorful or you can use auto, which will be restrained since most content isn't that colorful in the first place. That being said, all TVs have multiple ways to tweak color. Color is QLED/ULED/ETC strength as those tvs get much, much brighter and have better color volume as a result. This isn't an OLED strength (QD-OLED is the exception and is more colorful). The difference is noticeable and impactful. It is legit, demonstrably better… even to the lay public.
Only time I would not is if I’m in an overly bright room and the majority of TV watching is during the day, watch a lot of sports, and I’m prone to carelessly leave the TV playing. I watch the basement TV more but every time I’m upstairs and turn on the OLED I am immediately impressed by how much better the picture quality is.Īll things being equal, I’d go OLED every time. While I miss the brightness at times (only during the day), the blacks and color contrast is amazing. That TV is incredibly bright and colorful, great TV minus the blooming that comes with LEDs.
